Hey guys,
I've got a hot topic, or potential one for you. How does one go about addressing an issue, within a faith based organization, of dating guidelines specifically defined & when confronted with the issue, says "I am not dating him, I am ministering to him, and I will not compromise in the ministry G. has called me to. I do not get to chose who I minister to G does that." I realize that part of the issue is one of cultural sensitivity & that of different opinions regarding the definition of dating. (we define it as "excessive 1 on 1 time with a member of the opposite sex.")
So I guess it's one of those Bbl college type mentalities. In all seriousness, I gues the question is: how does one help a person discover the differance between developing an emotional attachment/infatuation with someone and a true effort to inspire a change that is truly benificial to the person being ministered to?
Hope this makes sense.
BTW, you guys never cease to leave me rolling on the ground laughing. There's always something "new and exciting." keep up the good work! I enjoy listening to anyone speaking English!
